After the car, the three-wheeled autorickshaw will run in self-driving mode!

The communication system is one of the conditions for the development of a country. The better the communication system of a country, the better. The development of the communication system is also being noticed in Bangladesh now. The prevalence of vehicles is also increasing. In addition to expensive cars, many types of autorickshaws can be seen on the roads in different countries. Autorickshaws have also become very popular in Bangladesh. And in developed countries, this autorickshaw is being made self-driving or driverless. Billions of dollars are being spent on various plans and software development to take these self-driving autorickshaws to the bank. Now it remains to be seen when the three-wheeled autorickshaw ‘Tuktuk’ will run on the road without a driver!

The colorful three-wheeled autorickshaw has been around for a century in the Thai capital, Bangkok. Next November, government and non-government organizations will jointly launch an experimental model of a self-driving autorickshaw to further improve Thai automobile technology, and the three-wheeled autorickshaw ‘Tuktuk’ will run without a driver.

Three-wheeled autorickshaw ‘Tuktuk’.

Baidu and Toyota, two big companies in Japan and China, are spending a lot of money on the development of self-driving cars in Asia. They are researching the development and trajectory of self-driving car software. A total of 12 percent produce themselves.

Mr. Ekrut Viyanit, principal of National Science and Technology, said:

regulators believed the vehicle would soon be operational on the public road and that people in Thailand would also take the vehicle very quickly.

Mr. Amares Chumsai (founder of Bangkok-based Air over) said:

The Tuktuk is used experimentally because the three-wheeler is very energy efficient and some of its parts are cheap / readily available and suitable for the warm weather in Thailand.

The technology used in self-driving autorickshaws

Screen

Its speed can be seen on the screen of the self-driving autorickshaw airover model. You can also see how much electricity is in the tank.

Three-dimensional mapping

The police siren can be followed by control by handlebars and three-dimensional mapping located on its roof as per the requirement of the driver.

Sensor

The key to self-driving vehicles is the GPS sensor. A self-driving vehicle can run autonomously through sensors.

There is no pair of autorickshaws to give the fast way.

Other information

With this self-driving autorickshaw, we will be able to provide complete information on the environment and traffic together.

Current plan

Self-driving car manufacturing tests could run for the next six months. Entrepreneurs will analyze the usage data of this vehicle and decide whether a minibus can be added to the project in the future. After running several vehicles on the road, we will be able to understand through feedback and data analysis how big the project can be, said the entrepreneurs.

Thailand is a major hub for car manufacturing in Southeast Asia. They have built about 2.2 million cars in the last year, and the Thai government is considering investing more in electric and self-driving cars, keeping in mind all the countries in the car world. Thailand is one of the first countries to propose a reduction in taxes on self-driving cars and an increase in sales.

President of the Electric Vehicle Association Mr. Yusapong said

Driverless autorickshaws will be built in the mold of electric vehicles, with the addition of self-driving autorickshaw technology.

According to IHS USA, Thailand expects to become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of self-driving cars by 2035, producing about 2.2 million units worldwide.

Although there are no special laws or restrictions on self-driving autorickshaws on the roads of Thailand. Still, driving self-driving cars on the roads of Thailand is not so easy. Various organizations are working tirelessly to develop the roads in Thailand. Meanwhile, the Department of Land and Roads is also participating in this developmental activity.

Robo taxi

Grab Taxi is the leading taxi provider in Thailand, which plans to bring Robo taxis to the streets of Thailand by 2022. This service is made in Singapore so it is proposed to start there first.

Future plans

Sansiri’s goal is to make self-driving autorickshaws move people faster from home to a nearby store or shopping mall, and the program will gain popularity in Bangkok and other cities.

It is expected that by 2024, self-driving autorickshaws will be seen successfully running on the roads of Thailand. The new surprise of technology is this self-driving autorickshaw. Interested customers are eagerly awaiting when these cars will come and successfully win the hearts and minds of the general public.
