How to recharge your car’s AC manually.

Is there no cold air coming out of your car’s AC? Then maybe it’s time to recharge your car’s AC. But if you take it to a mechanic or to a service center, you will have to spend about 5 to 10 thousand takas for this work. The cost of AC recharge but not less. You can recharge your car’s AC manually to save cost.
The first thing to do
To recharge your car’s AC, you must first check what type of refrigerant is used in your car’s AC. If your car is from before 1994, then R-12 refrigerant is used. When it falls, R-134 refrigerant is used. Also, check if there are any leaks in your car’s AC system. The car’s AC cannot provide enough cold air due to the leaking AC system.
Buy a car refrigerant kit
To recharge the AC system you need to insert an AC refrigerant into the system with high pressure. Along with this, you need to buy a pressure meter, through which you can see how much has entered the refrigerant system. There are many types of refrigerant kits available, but buying an all-in-one refrigerant kit for your personal or family car will be good for you. It also comes with a pressure meter along with a refrigerant cylinder.
Prepare the recharge kit
Once the recharge kit has been purchased, open the kit. It will have a refrigerant can, a pressure meter, and a flexible rubber hose pipe. Check the manual inside the packet and adjust the pressure meter and kit according to the rules. Tighten the screws of the hose pipe to attach it to the pressure meter. Check that the PIN of the refrigerant kit is OK.
Install the recharge kit
Securely remove the PIN of the recharge kit and attach the pressure meter to the recharge kit. Tighten the rubber hose pipe with it. Now see if the pressure meter reading is correct. Use the meter calibration dial to get accurate readings.
Select the low-pressure port of the vehicle
Your car has two refrigerant ports. One is a high-pressure port, the other is a low-pressure port. Check the car user manual to find the low-pressure port of the car refrigerant. Also, the high and low-pressure ports are marked by H and L above the pressure port respectively.
Clean the low-pressure port
If any dust or dirt enters the refrigerant of the car, the car’s AC will not work properly. If there is dirt in the compressor, it can become completely crippled. So clean the head of the port thoroughly before and after opening the cap of the low-pressure port.
Measure the pressure
To measure the pressure, attach the pressure meter of the refrigerant kit to the hose pipe. Then attach the open part of the rubber hose pipe to the low-pressure port of the vehicle. Now start the car engine and turn on the AC to the full extent. Now, look at the pressure meter to see the amount of pressure in the system. Wait a few minutes to get the correct reading.
Add the refrigerant cans
Now connect the refrigerant can to the pressure meter in the way shown in the refrigerant kit manual. First, open the hose pipe from the low-pressure port. Now turn the width meter to the right. Then you will hear the sound of the pressure being released from the can.
Add refrigerant
Once the refrigerant can is connected to the pressure meter, reconnect the head of the rubber hose pipe to the low-pressure port. Turn on the engine and turn on the AC again. Wait a while for the pressure to build up. Now keep turning the refrigerant can right and left once in the way shown in the picture so that the refrigerant can enter the AC system of your car. Also, keep an eye on the pressure meter.
Recharge with refrigerant
When adding refrigerant, look at the meter to see how much refrigerant has been added to the system. There is no problem if something is more or less. When the refrigerant is full, remove the rubber hose from the pressure port and put a cap on it. Take care of the pressure meter even if the refrigerant can is empty. Next time you can recharge the AC by buying a refrigerant can without buying a pressure meter.
